June 1, 2014-Blessing Day

The boys' blessing day was such a wonderful day! We woke up bright and early, ate some breakfast, and while the boys took a nap, Dad and I showered, got ready for church, ate some breakfast ourselves, and packed the diaper bag. Around 10 o'clock, we fed them their second breakfast, made sure they burped well, got them dressed in their adorable outfits, and walked to church with the Leonardsons. We got there about ten minutes early with both boys asleep! Dad did an amazing job with their blessings. The Spirit was so very strong and I couldn't help but feel so lucky to have such amazing boys in my life! 

The day turned out beautifully and we loved having family in town. I have said it before and I will say it again, Benjamin and Miles sure are loved! Thanks, Lacey Hathaway, for the wonderful family photos.

Benjamin and Miles

Our little boys are growing up so fast! Benji and Milo went in for their two month check up Thursday, June 12. Their doctor said they both look great! It was a struggle getting through their shots, but other than that, all went well. Benji weighed in at 10 lbs. 11 oz. and Miles weighed 10 lbs. 10 oz. They are getting so big!

Here are some things they are doing now that they are a bit older:

-They both roll to their sides and are So close to rolling over.

-Dad got Benji's first smile a few days ago and Miles followed suit a few hours behind his brother. 

-Benji loves to sing. 

-Miles can get out of any swaddle. 

-Benji has turned into a really light sleeper and Miles could probably sleep through a hurricane. 

-Both boys love to snuggle. 

-Bath time has turned into fun time now that they get to splash around, and boy, do they know how to splash.

-Neither of them are big fans of tummy time. 

-Sleeping on mom and dad's bed is one of their favorite things.

-Once we get them sleeping for the night (somewhere in between 8 and 9), they sleep until 3:30 or 4, and then again from 5:30 to 8:30! All of us Love the extra sleep :)

-Both of them have outgrown their newborn clothes, much to my dismay. 

We can't believe how fast time has gone, but we love watching our boys grow! 

Bath time

Now that bath time isn't just a wet sponge and some soap, the boys have grown to love it! They have so much fun playing in the water! But we think it also has something to do with the fact that bath time means naked time, and they love being naked. They are often happiest right after a bath hanging out on mom and dad's bed in nothing but a towel. We love it!

I set Benji down after a nap and un-swaddled him.
After a few minutes, I turned around and saw that he had
grabbed the blanket, wrapped himself back up and
fallen back asleep.
