Proof Josh is in Dental School

Helping out with the "Give Kids a Smile" launch party.
Kyle Tuttle (Woody), Garrett Seymour, Blake Porter,
Jared Tinker, Josh, John Zuniga, and
Jay Gousman (Prince Charming)
Josh doesn't make it into many photos around the house because he is frequently at school or studying. So when he came home with a few photos from dental school, I was so excited! Now we have physical evidence that he spends his days on campus working hard...or hardly working. Either way, he is there, doing well and loving it.

ASDOH class of 2018

Prince Charming fell asleep in class. Good thing he was
surrounded by kind friends!

Oh, February, you have treated us well.

Life is good here in the Murphy home and February has been another one for the books. We have played hard and learned a lot and hope to have memories of it all. Hopefully these pictures help with that!
Benji, Mom, Dad and Miles eating some Sushi
We love good Sushi!
Miles loves playing in the grass.

Benji can't get enough!
Benji loved watching the ducks at the

They got really close. The boys loved it!

The boys, just hanging out.

We love being able to sit up during bath time!

Miles and Benjamin

They might be getting a tad too big
for the carrier..
They are also getting a little too big to share my lap.

The boys love watching their uncle Tyler
play Basketball.
Miles and Benji love helping Mom in the kitchen.

Best buds.

Benji enjoying the swings at the park.
Benji enjoyed the swings just as long as it took to
take a picture. Miles wouldn't even let me take
the picture.

They love being able to sit up in the bathtub!

Having the time of their lives!

Miles loves his Seahorse.
"Really, Mom? It is just a bath." -Benji

Benjamin loves pictures.

Injury #2. Miles bonked his head pretty good.

Benji's favorite chew toy.

Milo, getting pretty good at holding his bottle.

10 months old

Life is getting crazy with two fast crawlers that just developed their pincer reflex. They crawl faster than I can keep up and grab things I didn't know were accessible and/or there. They seem to go in different directions, especially when they know they are up to no good and boy does it keep me on my toes!
Miles and Benji

Here are some of the new things happening this month:

Miles

  • He has learned how to sit up on his own and can get to that position from his tummy.
  • He likes to make it very clear when he has had enough food. He will scrunch up his face, turn his head and swat at anything remotely resembling a spoon.
  • He is learning how to pull himself on to everything.
  • Loves climbing over Benjamin.
  • He is such a big boy and can sit in the cart on grocery trips but gets startled every time I start pushing.
  • Miles has five teeth (three on the bottom, two on top) and is working on his sixth (another on top).
  • He loves eating "big boy" food and his favorites are Bananas and Black Beans.
  • He is crawling (really, truly crawling) but only until he wants to get to his desitination faster than real crawling allows.
  • He loves to slap the windows.
  • Miles loves to play with Benji's ears.
  • His new favorite book is We're Going on a Bear Hunt.
  • He is very good at feeding himself bread and cheerios.
  • Miles loves playing peek-a-boo.
  • He loves watching Tarzan.

Benjamin
  • Gets really annoyed when Miles touches him.
  • He is very content to lay on his back to play with toys...for hours.
  • He isn't showing a deep desire to learn how to sit up on his own.
  • He loves laying on his belly in the bathtub and splashing water in his face.
  • He loves watching Tarzan.
  • He just recently figured out how to feed himself and is very proud of the fact.
  • Benji loves eating "big boy" food and his favorites are Pears and Black Beans.
  • He loves being strapped into the carrier and pretends to run whenever I start walking. It is the cutest thing!
  • He loves reading books and his favorite right now is our book with 100 animal pictures.
  • He loves giving himself water through the sippy cup.
  • He gets startled whenever I turn on the mixer and needs to see what is going on in order to calm down. He loves watching dough in the mixer.
  • He can not stand the sound of the vacuum.
  • Benji is very tickelish.
  • He has five teeth (three on top, two on bottom) but is working on his sixth (another on top).
They love playing together and as long as things don't get too rough, they are more than happy with the other's company. Both boys are just as happy as can be and are so easy to please! We love our sweet little boys and can't believe they are as big as they are.

The First Five Days of February

So far February has been pretty good to us. We have had some rainy
His lip right after the incident.
days but we have had fun both inside and out. We had our first injury this week. Miles was giving some pretty passionate kisses to the mirror that I lay out on the floor for them to play with when things went a little too far. I was playing with Benji when I heard Miles hit the mirror, hard. He started screaming and when I went over to get him, his little gums were bleeding and his lip was starting to swell. Poor guy! I got a cold teething ring on his lip and the swelling went down quite a bit but hopefully he has learned his lesson about passionate kissing for life...or at least until he gets married.
In other not surprising news, the boys are the best of friends. It is a rare occasion when they aren't next to each other playing and even if it does happen, it isn't long before one of them misses the other and crawls right next to him to play. I kind of feel like a third wheel, but I can't complain! It is very entertaining for me to watch and probably even more entertaining for them to play with each other than boring ol' Mom.
They played like this for a good 45 minutes,
switching toys back and forth. So cute!

Best buds. Miles and Benji
A photo after church because we rarely
take photos together anymore.

Naturally it escalated into an
improv, do the weirdest face, photo shoot.

He tells me he likes kisses, but after this photo I'm
not sure if I believe him.

So in love. :) Can't you tell?

Wrapping up our January

Benjamin, just hanging out with Dad.
Miles loves his Banana toothbrush.
We are loving the green grass and warm weather!
Miles in the stripes
Wow, January went by super-duper fast. Days seemed to go by slowly with harder classes for Josh and long, cold (cold, like a wind chill of 50 degrees. It's pretty pathetic that I think that is cold, right?) days stuck inside with the boys, but now that it is February 2nd I'm sitting here wondering how the weeks went by so quickly! Looking back, we filled our January with fun walks outside and adventures inside. We are loving this "cold" 70 degree season Arizonians call winter. But, we are getting more and more used to this weather and we might just claim Arizona as our own. (Remind me I said that when it is 120 degrees in a few months...)

Benjamin, cheesin' for the camera.
Such cute boys!
Miles and Benji, helping Mom paint.
Just going on our daily walk! Benji and Miles
Benji is getting really good at holding his bottle.

Miles loves looking out the window.
Miles has found a good substitute for his blanket,
a cute little Hippo hand.

Miles loves his naps too.

Benji, loving his afternoon nap.
We found an awesome Duck pond near our house
and the boys can't get enough! They were just a little
hesitant to show it in front of the camera...

Such fun ducks and geese!
Benji loved spending the afternoon in the park.

B, loving his new "toy".

Miles just wanted to eat the grass.

We love Arizona in January!
Miles

Milo has a new favorite spot to play.

Even if it gives him a little trouble getting in an out.

They could play like this for hours!

The boys love their new little Jacuzzi.

Benji was completely relaxed.

Benjamin and Miles

They couldn't get enough!
Not the best picture, but they love
their little fort.
Benji in the box, Miles looking for the spotlight.

Benji loves his little box.

Sheesh, they are so easy to entertain!

Well, hey there Milo!

Miles

So content in their boxes of fun.
That's what we call them, Magical Boxes of Fun.

Double team! B&M

Dad is SO captivating.

I promise it wasn't as much torture as
the picture lets you believe.
The boys are so content and happy with anything and everything the days throw at them. We find fun wherever we can and enjoy every minute of the day! We can't wait to see what adventures February brings. Hopefully it comes in the form of another Pampers box.
